Cover picture “Ode to Joy” by Natalia Simonenko
Dear friends of music and art,
We are delighted to welcome the artist Natalia Simonenko back to our gallery, who was last seen in 2020 with her beautiful landscape paintings. This time, too, she has new works in her luggage that take us into spring with a wink.
The pictures in this exhibition summarise beautiful landscapes from cities and countries all around Europe. Artprofil magazine (June 2019 issue) describes Natalia Simonenko’s art as “representational, but not naturalistic – which is exactly how her art can be described. It is the light and harmony as well as the relationship between the dynamic choice of colours – together with a timeless freshness with which her works know how to defy the cosmos of transience. Impressionistic, directly formulated plein-air painting combines, airily and lightly, recognisable scenes from overall landscape views with the realistic ability to recognise the overall context.”
Cellist Roger Morelló Ros will provide the musical introduction and present an exciting programme with works by P. Casals, J. S. Bach, M. Migó, E. Fábregas and G. Cassadó.
Look forward to an exhibition that truly evokes spring!
