Dear friends of art,
“When I walk through nature with my eyes open, I see a lot of beauty and often discover special shapes and forms in the growth of the trees, in the roots or in the weave of the branches.”
With these words, Christa Schumacher opens the door to her artistic work and invites us to look at the world through her eyes. What appears inconspicuous to many – the structure of a root, the filigree pattern of a petal or the curve of a branch – becomes the source of inspiration for Christa Schumacher’s art. Her works reflect this intense connection with nature; they are homages to the hidden, which on closer inspection suddenly reveal unexpected beauty and depth.
